IPS – Industrial Piping Service GmbH & Co. KG from Burghausen has commissioned Hörmann Intralogistics with the realization of an "AutoStore" system to optimize its intralogistics. The new facility will in the future automate the material flows of the trading company in the areas of storage and order picking and prepare for future requirements, Hörmann Intralogistics recently announced. The focus is therefore on supplying industrial large-scale companies in the Bavarian Chemical Triangle as well
as specialized, cross-regional plant-, apparatus- and piping-builders. The commissioning at IPS is planned for mid-2026.
The AutoStore system will be equipped with 10,230 bins with a height of 220 millimeters and operated by four robots from the "Red Line" series with five charging stations. Two "ConveyorPorts" enable connection to goods-in / goods-out and order picking. In addition, a Conveyor-Frame is being prepared for a later expansion. The control of the system is via Hörmann
Intralogistics' Warehouse Management System "HiLIS." Other components of the project include a cleaning station for the AutoStore robots as well as fire suppression generators for fire protection. The loading of the bins is also part of the scope of supply.
