The provider of supply chain management and e-commerce solutions Arvato is expanding its presence in Germany with the opening of a new 10,000-square-meter high-tech logistics center in Frankfurt am Main. The new site is intended to support Arvato's long-term growth strategy and, in particular, strengthen capacities to serve global hyperscalers, high-tech industries, and a wide range of industrial customers in Europe even better, according to a press release from Arvato dated August
25.
The new site in Frankfurt is part of the overarching strategic development in data-center logistics and follows the acquisition of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics earlier this year. Located in close proximity to ATC's German headquarters, synergies are to be leveraged that enable comprehensive logistics solutions for hyperscaler and cloud customers—from inbound logistics and storage to white-glove delivery, installation and onsite services.
“The close physical proximity of both locations enables us
to optimally connect the strengths of Arvato and ATC,” said Thomas Becker, Head of GSA TECH at Arvato. “We synchronize central logistics functions and create a fully integrated operational ecosystem with highly specialized personnel and a broad service portfolio.”
This strong setup reflects the increasing complexity and pace of digital infrastructure projects.
With storage and inventory management for IT infrastructure, rapid provisioning of critical hardware, and value-added services such as staging, configuration,
and secure handling, the new site is intended to make a central contribution to the implementation of hyperscaler and high-tech projects. Customers should be supported in meeting demanding service-level agreements.
