Usually this is still done laboriously via individual e-mail communication and Excel spreadsheets. A new digital analysis tool from the Berlin-based consulting firm M3E provides relief.
Foundation for planning future charging needs
With the “Bedarfscheck Ladeinfrastruktur,” the Berlin electric mobility experts have developed a highly functional digital instrument that makes it easier than ever before to capture multiple locations, query their individual needs in a structured way, assess eligibility for funding, and much more. The tool automatically sends emails with questionnaires in which relevant queries are made. Questionnaires, responses, and location data are centrally aggregated and can be systematically evaluated – for this as well as for further applications there is a
clear dashboard available. Through this efficient communication and data collection as well as a live evaluation and reminder function, a reliable basis for planning future charging needs, area-specific charging strategies and investment decisions can be created. In addition, the tool also helps to ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations – the next generation of the analysis tool will include an integrated automated conformity assessment.
Municipalities and municipal utilities
For municipalities and municipal utilities, it is one of the biggest challenges to know the actual charging needs in commercial areas and to derive concrete courses of action from them. Correct information and a central data base form the foundation so that municipalities and electricity providers can ensure the stability of energy grids. The “Bedarfscheck Ladeinfrastruktur” enables, with a few clicks, automatic and privacy-compliant organization of the needs of all resident companies and to consolidate them in a clear dashboard. Currently, work is also underway on compatibility with the Fläche Tool of the National Control Center for Charging Infrastructure, so that the next generation of the “Bedarfscheck Ladeinfrastruktur”
will enable direct export or a notification.
