The companies TachoEasy AG, based in Rohrdorf, and Zauner Software Office in Heusenstamm have, as they put it, developed a new software category. Under the name Tachomatik, the first two products LEA.fix and LEA.dynamics are now available in Germany and Austria.
Analysis of driver data beyond archiving
The programs are based on existing archiving systems for digital tachographs. They would enable advanced analysis and visualization functions that go beyond the legally mandated storage of vehicle, driver, and tour data, the two companies say. Fleet operators should, among other things,
be able to plan driver training more precisely, design routes more efficiently, and detect violations at an early stage.
Preparation for regulatory inspections
A central field of application for the software is violation and penalty management. Based on the evaluated data, the providers explain, fleet operators can take measures to prepare for regulatory inspections. The programs are intended to show which routes frequently lead to violations, at what times risks are particularly high, and when qualification measures for drivers pay off. The accuracy of the analyses increases with the
amount of tachograph data available.
Independence from fleet size and industry
For the use of the new software solutions, no separate fleet management system is required. What is required is only a digital tachograph and a market-standard archiving software. With this, use is possible independently of fleet size, vehicle types, transported goods, or industry affiliation.
