Geotab has presented in Aachen the new AI dashcam "GO Focus Plus". The system combines video technology with fleet data and is intended to reduce risky driving behavior directly in the vehicle. The dual-facing camera records both the road and the vehicle interior and provides drivers with immediate audible cues in risky situations.
AI dashcam significantly reduces tailgating and the
use of mobile phones at the wheel
A pilot project, according to Geotab, showed that tailgating could be reduced by 90 percent and the use of mobile phones at the wheel by 95 percent. Each warning thus becomes a coaching opportunity with the aim of preventing accidents and building a sustainable safety culture.
The "GO Focus Plus" would offer proactive
driver coaching through spoken cues in cases of distraction, fatigue, or dangerous driving behavior. At the same time, the AI-powered analysis enables rapid identification of recurring risks. Fleet managers no longer have to review extensive video material, because every warning is supplemented with video and contextual data.
Video Intelligence Platform "MyGeotab" self-optimizes via AI
Through the "MyGeotab" platform, tasks can
be assigned, progress monitored, and successes made visible. This is intended to create a transparent safety culture in operations. The new Video Intelligence Platform is designed for continuous further development. AI models should automatically improve detection and coaching with each update.
