The Ratiodata SE officially opened its new IT logistics and repair center in the A61 industrial park in Koblenz. With the new building, the IT service provider and managed service provider is responding to rising order volumes as well as growing requirements for modern IT services, according to a statement from Ratiodata dated September 8. The building offers a usable floor space of around 16,500 square meters and was built to energy standards. The total energy demand is met

by its own photovoltaic installations.

“The new building replaces our previous site in Mülheim-Kärlich, whose capacities had long been exhausted,” said Dr. Michael Stanka, a board member of Ratiodata. “With the new building, we rely on the latest technologies and optimize our processes – more efficient, more digital and future-oriented.”

The building features an automated small-parts warehouse with “AutoStore” technology, which, with the help of a robot-assisted gripper system, is intended to significantly accelerate the inbound and outbound storage

of goods. An equally automated, driverless transport system handles the movement between warehouse and repair.

8,000 square meters of photovoltaic area – distributed on the roof and six bifacial solar tracker systems on the parking lot – according to Ratiodata, ensure a self-sufficient power supply. The ecological concept is complemented by green roofs and green façades.

“For us, economic success and ecological responsibility are inextricably linked,” said Klemens Baumgärtel, also a board member of Ratiodata. “With the new site,

we are sending a strong signal for sustainable growth.”

“The new site offers enough space for up to 100 additional employees,” said Christian Meier, a board member of Ratiodata.

The official opening ceremony at the industrial park took place over two days: On Friday, customers, partners, and representatives from politics and administration were invited. On Saturday followed a large family festival for the employees, including guided tours through the new building as well as numerous entertainment offerings on the
